Porto Airport Facilities




Porto Airport, officially known as Francisco Sa’ Carneiro Airport, is the second busiest airport in Portugal and it is served by several international airlines. On 31st December 2019 it recorded its 13 millionth passenger. Thanks to renovations the airport is now adequately equipped with modern facilities for the convenience of passengers.

Money

For starters there are money points (ATMs) available on all the floors throughout all the passenger areas. There is also a full service bank and a bureau de change.

Shopping

You can do your shopping at the several stores here including bookshops, gift retailers stocking jewelry, wine merchants for alcohol and tobacco, fashion points for clothing and accessories, and electronic outlets for mobile phones. There are also duty free shops which make for very affordable shopping especially for persons travelling to non EU countries. These stores are well located in the departures area on the third floor.

Restaurants

You can never go hungry at the Porto Airport thanks to a string of cafe, restaurant and bar franchises well spread across the entire terminal area. Go ahead and enjoy a buffet at the self service restaurant, sumptuous meat cuts at the grill house, or choose one of the international dishes available at the food gallery. Afterwards, visit the bar just close by to wash down the meal and enjoy a nice time before your flight.

Communication

Need to make a call or post something? Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport boasts excellent communication facilities starting with house phones well located in the terminal area and not forgetting public payphones. There are also several internet access points and a post office.

Internet Wi-Fi

Wireless access to the Internet is available in the entire airport. The acess to local contents such as Flight and airport Information is free of charge. For a complete connection you must use one of the operators present at the airport.

Meeting

Meeting clients at the airport or need to speak to the press before departure or after arrival? You will be pleased to know that Porto Airport has three lounges. Lounge 1 is a 37-seat room located on level 0 and Lounge 2 is on level 1, or you may go for the cozier Navigator Lounge but only if you are flying TAP – Air Portugal. Please call the number 22 943 2400 to make reservations for the meeting rooms.

Disabled travellers

Porto Airport is well accommodative to the needs of disabled persons and which is also in accordance to the provisions of European airport standards. There are specially fitted toilets, specially adapted lifts, ramps plus easy-to-operate telephones. Passengers who will be requiring wheelchairs are kindly asked to liaise with their respective airlines during booking to make prior reservations. The wheelchairs are provided free of charge though.

Parking

Porto Francisca Sa’ Caneiro boasts four 24-hour parking lots which make for a total of 2000 spaces. The lots are labeled P0, P1, P4 and P6, and each has spaces designated for short and long-stay parking. For more details about the parking provisions please contact 22 941 0787.

The information desk plus the 24-hour information kiosks located in the public area will provide all the information you need about the facilities available at Porto Airport.

There is a lost property section and also a baby changing facility, a very thoughtful idea on the airport’s part. Other helpful features include a pharmacy and a travel agency.
